Once, I had my other half,
but we used to call each other “friend”,
the kind that anybody would’ve like to have,
but that huge fortune came to an end.
It wasn’t her fault,
it wasn’t mine.
We rushed our thing as fast as a lightning bolt
and then we split our fate just to be fine.

Una vez tuve a mi media mitad
aunque solíamos llamarnos amigos
de esos que tienen derecho a más,
pero nuestra suerte la cambió el destino.
Ella no fue culpable,
tampoco lo fui yo.
Fue fugaz lo que tuvimos, casi impalpable,
hasta que separarnos fue la mejor decisión.
Y la veo andar a solas
mientras sigo esperando en vano
con la esperanza de “que me pare bolas”
